About

RuReefTools is a set of online tools for marine aquarists: calculators, fish and invertebrate databases, water parameter logs. All in one place, no registration, with a focus on simplicity and privacy.

Who made it

The only author and creator of the project is Piet Rebel. Ideas, development and support are run by one person with community input.

Goals

• Give reef keepers handy tools without ads or sign-ups.
• Develop services based on community requests (priorities are set by voting).
• Do not collect or share personal data with third parties.

Data and privacy

Calculations run in your browser or on the server without saving your input to personal profiles. We do not share user data with third parties or use it for ads or profiling.

Analytics

The site uses minimal analytics with no personal data: only total page views and section clicks (which service was opened). No cookies, IP addresses or user identifiers are stored. Details are described in this About section.

Community and feedback

The hub for ideas and discussion and the only official social channel is the Telegram group t.me/russianreef. You can suggest ideas or report bugs there.
